Epstein's house manager who died shortly after being released from prison

Alfredo Rodriguez was the butler / house manager for Jeffrey Epstein at his Palm Beach mansion. He tried to sell Epstein's black book in 2009, for which he was sentenced to 18 months in prison in 2011.[1] Rodriguez said in court that the book was "insurance" against Epstein, who wanted him to "disappear".[2]

Activities

Rodriguez worked for Epstein from 2004-2005 and witnessed the activities at the Florida estate. When he was fired, he took the black book as insurance, fearing that Epstein wanted to make him disappear. He tried to sell Epstein's little black book to Bradley Edwards around August of 2009. Edwards deposed Rodriguez and served him with a federal subpoena to provide any and all documents relating to the case and informed him that his request for money is illegal. Rodriguez however insisted on a payment of 50,000 USD, after which Edwards contacted the FBI, which set up an undercover operation to collect a "criminal conversation".[3]

FBI sting video

The undercover video was made public in 2026,[4] from the recording it is clear that he informed the FBI with much detail about the criminal activity that was going on:[5][6]

  • The Exchange Begins: Rodriguez meets the undercover agent and presents the documents, which he refers to as his "tools of the trade" from his time as household manager
  • Content of the Book: He explains the book contains phone numbers of girls, their families, and high-profile associates, many of which he highlighted in his own handwriting
  • Origin of the Documents: Rodriguez claims Epstein ordered similar books to be destroyed or "made to disappear," but he kept this copy from one of Epstein's vehicles
  • Evidence of Illegal Activity
    • Aftermath of Encounters: Rodriguez describes finding condoms and sex toys in the house after Epstein’s guests would leave
    • The "Citrix" Computer: He details a high-powered computer system used by Ghislaine Maxwell to download and organize photos of very young girls from various countries
    • Underage Preferences: Rodriguez explicitly states that Epstein "doesn't want any girls" over the age of 22 and describes him as "diseased" and "sick"
  • Naming High-Profile Associates
    • Jean-Luc Brunel: Identified as a scout who recruited young models from Europe
    • The Duchess of York: Noted as a personal friend who frequently called the house
    • Ehud Barak: The former Prime Minister of Israel is mentioned as having flown on Epstein's private jet with secret service personnel
    • Alan Dershowitz: Rodriguez confirms Dershowitz was a frequent guest at the Palm Beach home
    • Leslie Wexner: Described as Epstein’s "boss" and the owner of Victoria's Secret
    • Donald Trump: Mentioned briefly in the context of being subpoenaed
  • Logistics and Cover-ups
    • The "Computer Wiz": Rodriguez names a specific IT specialist responsible for maintaining the "Citrix" system and erasing hard drives to hide evidence
    • Hidden Cameras: He reveals that Epstein had hidden cameras in the Palm Beach house, including one disguised as an alarm clock in his bedroom
    • Cash Flow: Rodriguez recalls handling massive amounts of cash, often keeping $30,000 to $40,000 in a safe at all times for Epstein’s immediate use
  • Conclusion of the Sting - The Payment: The undercover agent provides Rodriguez with a bag of cash (reportedly $30,000) in exchange for the book
