The 2013 Bilderberg Meeting was held in UK, England, amid considerable protest. The guests included business executives, politicians, financiers, editors/journalists and academics. The next meeting was the 2014 Bilderberg.

Many people turned up to protest the meeting. The Bilderberg organisers paid £0.5M out of a total of £1.3M expenses for policing the June 2013 Bilderberg meeting. Expenses included builing a “Great Wall of Watford” around the premises of the hotel.

Exposure

For the first time, a list of expected delegates was published by the Bilderberg Group. The Daily Mail published it two days before he start of the conference and commented that the group "has a shadowy reputation which has come under scrutiny in recent years, forcing organisers to be more open."

The police operation for the Bilderberg conference was called Operation Discuss, and had been running for eighteen months prior to the start of the conference.
