Background
Greek Bilderbergers have certain things in common.
- For the older participants, many were in or around the government in exile in British Egypt during World War 2.
- Many have an education in the US or UK, where they might have been scouted for recruitment.
- The participants selected to attend tend to be economically liberal, and almost work for Greece to be part of the European Union. This applies to both "left-wing" and "conservative" politicians.
Networks
- The Canellopoulos and Papalexopoulos families, some of the richest in Greece[1], owns the Titan Cement Company. Numerous executives from Titan have attended Bilderberg meetings though the decades. These also dominate the leadership of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises.
- Greek shipowners, traditionally a big international business, either based in Greece or the UK.
- The Mitsotakis family have dominated Greek politics for more than a century. Many Bilderbergers.
- Corporate journalists from the newspaper Kathimerini
- The usual think-tankers and political scientists.
Notably missing is military personnel. These presumably belong to parallel control networks, like Greece/Stay behind.
