The US COVID-19 Lockdown was initiated after intervention by "two [unnamed] very smart people" in Donald Trump's office.[1]
Support
Cass Sunstein urged in late March in late March that the Lockdown not be terminated quickly.[2]
Resistance
In mid April 2020 increasing numbers of people in the US mounted resistance against the lockdown in many states.[3]
No lockdown states
In late April the following 6 states had refused to lockdown citizens:
- Arkansas
- Iowa
- Nebraska
- North Dakota
- South Dakota - The governor, Kristi Noem pledged not to impose restrictions.
