Earl Anthony Wayne is a former American diplomat who attained the highest rank in the U.S. diplomatic service: Career Ambassador.[1] Formerly Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs, Ambassador to Argentina and Deputy Ambassador to Afghanistan, Wayne served nearly four years as Ambassador to Mexico, retiring two months after returning from this position.

Epstein files

Wayne is mentioned in the 2026 Epstein files release in relation to his time in Mexico. Several Spanish sources report at the end of January:[2][3][4]

  • a person named Kenneth Darrell Turner (collaborator of a former South African official) mentions one Richard Marcinko (former Navy Seal commander) and Wayne being involved with a local sexual exploitation ring;
  • Turner directly accuses Anthony Wayne of sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl and claims that the case was deliberately covered up through influence in the judicial and diplomatic systems;
  • due to this activity, in April or May 2014 the US Embassy in Mexico was raided by federal police, Wayne was let go and tried in absentia;
  • Turner and the Mexican federal police found what Turner calls a vault, which contained approximately 10,000 videos of minors from Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico, and some white girls who were later determined to have been brought to Mexico from South Africa;
  • Turner identified a “very prominent figure from the United States in one of the videos,” and the U.S. Embassy was angry with him. He allegedly later spoke with then-Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador;
  • Turner said he found Epstein's flight records within Mexican territory and his trips to the Virgin Islands to allegedly transport minors;
  • Turner claims that, after contacting US authorities to report these events, he and his partner were victims of violent attacks, the document presents these attacks as retaliation, elevating the case from a criminal complaint to a possible institutional security breach with diplomatic implications;
