Concerns

Additives

80% of pre-packaged foods in the USA contain chemicals which are banned in other countries.[2] In 2021 a whistleblower released a video(s) from a facility in the US that produces pig feed. In these videos (he having been hired to repair machinery) he explains that during the creation the product from food waste, a lot of packaging material is ending up in the final product.[3][4]

In 2026, Norway's national football team decided to transport 1,000kg of traditional food for their base camp to the US, for the World Cup that year.[5]

Crisis

Discussion of "food crises" in the commercially-controlled media almost always depict it as hypothetical (which might be changing going into 2027 [6]), and focus only on the most graphic aspect: an acute shortfall in the quantity of food - i.e. famine. This overlooks the ongoing global food crisis — a decline in quality, which has seen a decrease in health across all populations. Many governments, especially the USA have rolled back safety standards about pollution in food.

Huge food shortages have been a result of the COVID-19/Panic. Sainsbury's and Tesco have been hiding empty shelves with cardboard food.[7]

Nutrition

Mass produced food has considerably less nutritional content that standard natural food, raw and/or cooked. The 20th century has seen a major decline in the nutritional content of food, as a result of soil degradation.[8]
