Instagram censors unwanted contents just as much as its parent company Facebook. Here under the pretext of "medical misinformation"[1]

Instagram is a popular website for sharing images.

Staff

When Facebook bought the company in 2012 it had 13 employees.[2][3] By 2015 it was reported to be 100 engineers in Silicon Valley.[4]

Censorship

Covid-19

Instagram has removed a number of prominent accounts that had something to say against lockdowns and Covid-19 related measures.[5]

Private likes

In 2019 Instagram began removing public likes, which "is also removing people’s ability to see which posts are truly popular and unpopular. This makes it easier for Instagram to promote content it approves of and censor content it doesn’t want people to see."[6]
