Manuel Schadwald was a boy who went missing after leaving his parents' apartment to go to a leisure and recreation center in Berlin-Köpenick on July 24, 1993.
A police investigation connected his disappearance to people active in the Belgian child pornography scene after the death of an infamous pedophile in Belgium in 1998.[1] His belongings were searched, and thousands of graphic images and videos of him physically and sexually abusing children, one of which may have been Manuel Schadwald.[2] Among these findings, there was allegedly a final video depicting Schadwald's murder on a yacht.[3] A number of claims as to what happened to Schadwald originate from Wanja Götz.[4]
