Bilderberg
Matthew B. Ridgway had left the job of Supreme Allied Commander Europe before the first Bilderberg meeting. All subsequent SACEURs attended the group at least once, until John Shalikashvili (1992-1993), after which attendance seems to have become the exception rather than the rule.
