Nigeria is a Africa's most populous nation state. It has a lot of oil, make it an important country to control.

The Nigerian deep state is not yet well documented here. Currently, only a few agents of potential foreign influence have been identified. The Integrity Initiative leaks revealed that the Institute for Statecraft met up with Donald Duke,[1] a Nigerian politician who attended university in the US.

Fossil fuel reserves
Nigeria has the 11th largest oil reserves[2] and the 9th largest gas reserves of any nation state, about 3% of total global gas reserves.[3]

The ENaira, a CBDC, was launched to much fanfare, but Nigerians showed little desire to use it.
Growing unrest
General strikes were called in 2023.[4]
