Ron Brown was the United States Secretary of Commerce, serving during the first term of President Bill Clinton. He died in a plane crash along with 34 others. 3 months later, Mohammed Ferrat, a business partner, reportedly died aboard TWA 800.

Ron Brown was a United States Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman whom Russ Winter termed a "Clinton bagman and apparatchik".[1] He died in the 1996 Croatia USAF CT-43 crash, without being autopsied. At the time of his death Brown was being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors. The rest of the people on the plane also died. A few days later the air traffic controller reportedly committed suicide.[2]

His unexpected death reportedly caused fear amongst another Clinton associate, Johnny Chung.[3]
