The Last Ship is an action focused American television series (loosely based on the 1988 novel by William Brinkley), with shortened logic on distance/travel time. It is set in a post pandemic world, in which much of the world population died due to a virus and the situation only improved when a vaccine was found and distributed by the US.[1]
In season three, set in the Mediterranean, people who have survived the virus gather in city states to rebuild society.
