Prince Turki bin Faisal al-Saud
Background
Prince Turki bin Faisal attended the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, graduating in the class of 1968 alongside future U.S. President Bill Clinton.[1]
9/11 Attacks
On 5 November 2011, Turki asserted on Saudi TV that Ossama bin Laden was responsible for the 9/11 Attacks, stating that "The religious edicts issued by [bin Laden] are the main evidence because they call for attacking American soldiers and civilians. Only those people devoid of feelings will still ask for evidence."
Ambassador
In 2003, after his firing from Al-Watan, Jamal Khashoggi took a break from journalism, becoming an adviser and spokesperson to Prince Turki bin Faisal al-Saud, the Kingdom's Ambassador to the United Kingdom.[2]
When Prince Turki moved to Washington in 2005, as the new Saudi Ambassador to the United States, Khashoggi moved with him, and remained as his adviser and spokesperson until Prince Turki's abrupt resignation in December 2006.[3]
