1964 saw an escalation of the Vietnam War, as LBJ sent troops there following the Gulf of Tonkin Incident. The JFK Assassination perpetrators continued to try to prevent the truth of the assassination coming out, by assassinating witnesses and independent researchers and journalists.
JFK Assassination cover-up
The US Deep state continued to try to cover up the JFK assassination. JFK assassination-related deaths in 1964 included: Hank Killam, Bill Hunter, Gary Underhill, Guy Banister, Mary Sherman, Jim Koethe and Mary Pinchot Meyer.
The CIA issued a now declassified memo entitled Countering Criticism of the Warren Report, for use by its Operation Mockingbird assets in the commercially-controlled media, to suggest that anyone doubting their "lone nut" story was crazy.

In August 1964, two attacks were claimed to have occurred in the Gulf of Tonkin. This was the pretext for launching the ground War on Vietnam. The NSA declassified and released nearly 200 documents relating to this incident in 2005 and 2006,[1] and an NSA investogation declassified in 2010 concluded that one event had been completely faked.[2]
