February 2025 saw the introduction of the "toughest laws Australia has ever had against hate crimes", including mandatory jail for displaying symbols deemed "anti-semitic".[1] In June German police raided 170 homes in a crackdown against those expressing unwelcome opinions online.[2]

2025 saw several national governments demand "for your security" that encryption providers install backdoors -- including UKTemplate:Cn and India.[3]
Sidelining elections
Kit Knightly identified a global move of "democratic" nation states to dispense with elections by fiat.[4]

The clamp down on free speech in 2024 — and the widespread refusal to succumb to COVID panic — may suggest that the prospect of "vaccine passports" has receded somewhat, at least temporarily. Digital ID, however, remains a non-negotiable platform of SDS policy, to enabled a global CBDC rollout.

2024 saw the majority of central banks working on CBDCs. They were unsuccessfully trialed in a few countries in the early 2020s, where citizens expressed a strong dislike and a preference for non-CBDC payment methods. They remain under development, and the palpable failures to gain public acceptance through normal means suggest that a more aggressive launch strategy may be tried, for example linked to an "economic crisis" such as could be induced by a war.

Depopulation?
Deagel.com infamously predicted severe reductions in some countries (United States 65 million by 2025 - 2014 forecast, Germany 48 million by 2025 - 2014 forecast)[5] which contributed to COVID Panic.[6][7][8][9] By 2024, widespread awareness was growing that death rates worldwide were increasing[10], albeit far less than would be needed to fulfill the dire predictions of the Deagel.com website.

The location of the 2025 Bilderberg was revealed by a block booking of a Swedish hotel for 10-15 June 2025. This was an unprecedented leak, more so even than the 2018 Bilderberg, the dates of which was announced in advance in a press release from the Serbian government and which was later infiltrated by an undercover journalist.
