A famous Hollywood actress who died in December 2009 under odd circumstances. Who killed Brittany Murphy? Was it mold or murder?

Brittany Murphy was an American actress.

Life

She was a child actress.

Murphy is most well known for starring in the films Clueless and Girl, Interrupted.

Death

In late December 2009, she was found unconscious in the her shower at her Hollywood Hills home, the same house once owned by Britney Spears. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead. The coroner said it was a "natural death". Her death certificate listed the cause of death as "deferred". Her cause of death then became known as "pneumonia". The mold in the house was considered as a possible factor in her death, as was metal poisoning. A 2021 documentary, Drugs, Murder and Mold , looked at her mysterious death.

Her husband also died under mysterious circumstances 5 months later. Simon Monjack was reportedly found dead at their home apparently from a "heart attack".
