George H. W. Bush was a US deep politician who headed the US deep state for over 20 years. He was also a shallow politician, becoming the 41^st US president, and made himself CIA director. Like his father, Prescott Bush, he was initiated into Skull and Bones. Soon after, he joined the CIA where his own gifts as a spook allowed him to capitalise like no one before him on his family connections. He was effectively unmasked as a spook and deep politician by Russ Baker's highly recommended Family of Secrets.

Career

Bush joined the US intelligence community (probably the CIA) early in life, although paperwork confirming the date has not surfaced, presumably because Bush as CIA Director had records of his early CIA career destroyed. His cover story of an independent businessman, involved many apparently unprofitable business ventures. These explained a lot of foreign travel, particularly to areas of the world where CIA operations were either ongoing or being planned.

1950s

In 1953 Bush Sr. set up Zapata Oil, along with business partners John Overbey, Hugh Liedtke, Bill Liedtke and Thomas J. Devine. Knowledge of his intelligence connections did not become public until much later.

JFK Assassination

George H. W. Bush has claimed that he can't remember exactly where he was on the day of the JFK Assassination, though at times he has said that he was "somewhere in Texas."

Russ Baker's Family of Secrets is a recommended expose of a lot of Bush's connections to a small group of Texas oil men. He highlights their concern with the oil depletion allowance (a hugely profitable government measure which John F. Kennedy's successor protected) and to the Cuban exile community involved in the Bay of Pigs operation through the CIA's hit squad, Operation 40.

The Parrott Memo, referencing a call by one "George H. W. Bush"

The Parrott Memo is a declassified memo sent by a "George H. W. Bush" on the day of the JFK assassination. He suggested that he heard that James Parrott had been talking of killing JFK, which Russ Baker suggests may have been a deliberate leaving of an evidence trail.

1970s

George H. W. Bush took control of the US deep state in the 1970s after successfully engineering the Watergate Coup and establishing his capability to keep a lid on the crimes of the cabal.

Mark Gorton writes that after bugs planted in Nixon's office revealed that he was planning a purge of the US administration, George H. W. Bush successfully ensconced himself as head of the cabal that carried out the JFK Assassination by pulling off the Watergate coup and replacing the dangerously independent Richard Nixon with the controllable Gerald Ford. This ended a power struggle which had been brewing after the initial leaders had died off.

In 1976 Gerald Ford brought Bush back to Washington to become Director of Central Intelligence (DCI), replacing William Colby. At that time he was not recognised as a lifelong intelligence operative. Gorton summarises his brief but effective role in office as follows:

Despite his decades long involvement as a deep CIA insider, Bush was falsely brought in as an outsider who could reform the CIA. Bush’s real job was to staunch the flow of secrets out of the CIA and prevent the exposure of the truly explosive evil truths of the now multiple Coups d’état executed by the CIA.

Peter Dale Scott points to 1976 as a singularly important year in the evolution of the US Deep State; the Safari Club was launched, and a large number of CIA personnel left during the "clean up" carried out by Bush. They did not, however, give up their tradecraft, merely offshored it as the deep state shifted operations away from the CIA, which in the 1970s had been attracting increasing scrutiny.

Although DCI for just under a year, the Headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency in Langley, Virginia, was named in 1999 the "George Bush Center for Intelligence" as if to pay homage to his key role as CIA plumber. At the naming ceremony, Bush said: "I left here some 22 years ago after a limited tenure, and my stay here had a major impact on me. The CIA became part of my heartbeat back then, and it's never gone away."

George H. W. Bush spoke on "The U.S. and the Fight Against International Terrorism" at Benjamin Netanyahu's seminal 1979 Jerusalem Conference on International Terrorism. With other key spooks and deep politicians, he laid the clandestine groundwork for he "war on terror" which was to be so publicly be rolled out in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.

1980s

Bush was US Vice President under Ronald Reagan from 20 January 1981 - 20 January 1989, followed by 4 years as US President. In 1981Template:Cn Bush ordered the destruction of all CIA files about his earlier CIA career. The continued existence of The Parrott Memo suggests that he was unable to so cleanly the eliminate evidence from other US agencies.

In 1980 the October surprise was a secret deal to prevent the re-election of Jimmy Carter. In 1992 this was purportedly investigated by the House October Surprise Task Force, headed by Lee Hamilton. Hamilton (who was later to chair both the House Select Committee to Investigate Covert Arms Transactions with Iran and the 9/11 Commission) concluded that the allegations were baseless.

The most serious public hint of what was underway was "Iran-Contra", which was nevertheless largely covered up (especially the drug trafficking angle). Large numbers of mid level operatives (several hundreds, at least) were reportedly murdered in order to cover the tracks of the spooks who set it up.

Savings And Loan Fraud

George H. W. Bush was in charge of the adjustments to S&L law in USA which kicked off the Savings and loan fraud in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Neil Bush and Jeb Bush were also involved. Pete Brewton states that this scheme was a swindle with profits measured in hundreds of billions of dollars, and that profits from this scheme were used as seed funding for the arms/drugs deals referred to by the commercially-controlled media as Iran-Contra"

In the 1980s, Bush managed a played a classic and highly profitable double game far as recreational drugs in USA; as US vice president he headed up administration task forces on deregulation and fighting the "War on Drugs", as leader of The Enterprise, he was in charge of the US deep state's smuggling of illegal drugs into the USA.

Iran-Contra was a limited hangout of some of the CIA's off the books drugs for weapons swaps that illegally sent arms to the Nicaraguan contras. Bush may have intended to topple Ronald Reagan through this limited hangout,Template:Cn but Reagan was defended by staff such as Edwin Meese who were loyal to him rather than the US deep state.

The 1987 House Select Committee to Investigate Covert Arms Transactions with Iran was chaired by the Chairman of House Intelligence Committee, Lee Hamilton, and chose to investigate neither Bush Sr. (who infamously claimed to be "out of the loop") nor Ronald Reagan.

George H. W. Bush spent the night of September 10th, 2001 at the White House. The next day he attended the 2001 investor conference of the Carlyle Group, at which the "guest of honour" was Shafiq bin Laden, a circumstance which was not made much of by the corporate media.
