Catholic Cardinal and Vatican Secretary of State who attended Bilderberg/2018

Pietro Parolin is an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church. A cardinal since February 2014, he has been the Secretary of State since October 2013 and a member of the Council of Cardinal Advisers since July 2014. Before that he worked in the diplomatic service of the Holy See for thirty years, where his assignments included terms in Nigeria, Mexico and Venezuela as well as more than six years as Undersecretary of State for Relations with States.

Bilderberg 2018

Among the Catholic commentariat and especially among Catholic Vatican II dissidents, there was evidence of uneasiness and disquiet at his Bilderberg/2018 attendance [1][2]

According to a Vatican offical, Parolin was there for a "short time — about an hour and three quarters", during which the cardinal gave an address about the "social doctrine of the Church" followed by a question and answer session. Pope Francis was certainly aware of the cardinal's participation, the official said, and that the cardinal was "fully aware of the controversial nature" of the event but felt encouraged by having already met many of the participants in "other contexts."[3]

Covid

In November 2021, when asked about "No Vax" and "No Pass" demonstrations in cities across Italy, replied that "freedom without responsibility is empty, indeed it becomes slavery," and supported the jabs "because we see how the No Vax [people] are affected by the disease."[4]

In April 2022, despite a steady lifting of restrictions worldwide, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican secretary of state, ordered that the Vatican's tight controls will continue. All staff, external collaborators and visitors had to show a "Super Green Pass" to enter Vatican territory, meaning they must either be triple "vaccinated" or have recently recovered from Covid. Masks were mandatory in all enclosed spaces on Vatican territory. Despite being triple jabbed, "Cardinal Parolin and his deputy Archbishop Edgar Peña Parra contracted the virus and spent several days in quarantine with mild symptoms."[5]
