Washington Conference on International Terrorism

The Washington Conference on International Terrorism, held in 1984, was more widely publicised than the Jerusalem Conference on International Terrorism which brought together many of the same people 5 years earlier. Its stated aim was to coordinate the global response to "terrorism".^[1]

Operation Gladio

The Westland New Post was disbanded after the untimely death of its founder, Paul Latinus. This was ruled a suicide, "under highly dubious circumstances" (he reportedly knew Marc Dutroux).^[2]
