EU 'breaking international law'
In February 2015, Jake Wallis Simons wrote a Mail Online article asserting that the European Union is 'breaking international law by funding illegal West Bank building projects'. The article referred to "an area supposed to be under Israeli jurisdiction" and "areas placed under Israeli control by the Oslo Accords". The article quoted a legal “authority” Alan Baker who is himself an illegal settler and Regavim, an Israeli NGO which claims Palestinian buildings were built illegally. [3]
Antisemitism debate
On 29 April 2016, Jake Wallis Simons participated in a live Sky Television debate on antisemitism with former diplomat Craig Murray.[4] A transcript is available on Craig Murray's blog.[5]
Starmer interview
On 7 April 2022, the Jewish Chronicle published Jake Wallis Simons' interview with Keir Starmer in which Starmer rejected the findings of Amnesty International that Israel is an apartheid state, and refused to say whether he thinks Jeremy Corbyn is antisemitic.[6]
Publications
