“Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?”
Donald Trump (8 July 2025) [1]
History
Michael Tracy
Michael Tracy started to point out mistakes Whitney Webb made during a 2025 podcast, claiming he has not looked into her material before, but was asked by his listeners to do so.[2][3] Also attacking Nick Bryant for an appearance on the Chris Hedges podcast[4][5] One of his videos published in August 2025 titled: "How much of the Epstein story is just a myth?".[6]
Yasha Levine
Yasha Levine, publishing an article about the affair on July 17th, 2025, writing "I’ll call it the Epstein Myth".[7][8]
The Grayzone
Both Max Blumenthal and Aaron Maté have talked down the significance while appearing on the podcast of Andrew Napolitano in July 2025. Maté claiming not to know much, but rather coming down on the side that it was overblown.[9] Blumenthal coming back on the issue that this was in part what helped Trump into office, now betraying his base - not mentioning that this affair does have significance for both, the Republican and Democratic estblishment in the US government.[10] However, on their own channel, with Anya Parampil, they seem to allow more space for it's significance.[11]
First Things
First Things, a journal focusing on: "theology, liturgy, history of religion, church history, culture, education, society, politics, literature, book reviews, and poetry" according to Wikipedia,[12] publishes an online article by Matthew Schmitz in September 2025, also writing about the Epstein myth, ending:
"Acceptance of the Epstein myth reflects mistrust of our political establishment. That mistrust is in many respects reasonable. But you don’t need a Jewish cabal in order to explain the problems with U.S. foreign policy. You don’t need to theorize a pedophile ring in order to indict our elites. Americans are not the dupes of an international conspiracy. They alone are responsible for the leaders they’ve chosen, and they have the power to elect better ones in their place."[13]
New York Times
The NYT writing an article in November 2025, "Epstein Emails Reveal a Bygone Elite", in it pointing out towards the end: "So many of the people whose names appear in the recently released emails have now left the public stage. But not the man occupying the Oval Office".[14]
Nick Fuentes
Nick Fuentes has claimed in January 2026, that Jeffrey Epstein’s international trafficking operation should not be labeled "pedophilia", because it did not involve very young children.[15] (while there is evidence to the contrary)
Alex Berenson
Alex Berenson has downplayed the affair, writing that "Epstein's world was more limited than it seems,[16]" and describing it as of "pecadilloes" and "lousy personal behavior", by the "foolish men (and women) around him", stating that "I am actually sympathetic to the argument the government should not have released the files en masse, that with federal surveillance more powerful than ever, we should protect the privacy of people who are not charged with crimes."[17]
Moon of Alabama
The analyst 'Moon of Alabama' in February 2026 wrote that "The girls were paid by Epstein to perform massages on him while being bare breasted or naked. While they were doing so he tended to masturbate. These contacts were consensual. No force was applied. ..There is no evidence that Epstein, on his island or wherever, ever committed any 'sex crimes'.[18]
Paul Craig Roberts
Paul Craig Roberts published an article in February 2026, which argues about the age of consent, a possible media created hoax and witch trials. Argues about a blackmail operation without blackmail and makes a nonsensical point how Prince Andrew is being arrested for handing over trade secrets, when Epstein is not/can not be interested in such things.[19]
Brendan O'Neill
Brendan O'Neill wrote The Epstein scandal has become a deranged conspiracy theory in February 2026[20]. His previous articles include The hunting of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has gone too far[21] (2026) and There is Something Horribly Medieval About This Posthumous Pummelling of Jimmy Savile[22] (2012).
Michael Shellenberger
In February 2026, Michael Shellenberger wrote that "it's clear to us that the totality of available evidence does not support the picture of a government-backed sex blackmail operation. Rather, it suggests that Epstein primarily served his own interests. If Epstein was a slave to anything, it was to his passions and perversions...Finally, there is insufficient evidence, at this time, to determine that someone killed Epstein."[23]
Concerns
It stands to reason that every mistake, big and small, researchers involved from the alternative media sphere have made, has been recorded and will be used against them for maximum effect. The attacks may be geared to foster infighting and are a first step to talk the matter down. Likely in a second step, similar with the 1980s day care abuse scandal in the US, books will be published by "experts" who will start to leave undesired evidence away and arrange facts to fit the narrative.
Pedophile? Hebephile? Ephebophile?
For a few years after Epstein's 2019 arrest, the age of his victims was understood to be 16, and 14 at the youngest (as per commercially-controlled media reporting).[28] Commentators like Megyn Kelly have made the claim that J. Epstein was into girls starting 15 and up and there is no accuser who said any younger girls were involved; adding that there is a distinction between a 15 year old and a five year old.[29] But there is strong indication, up what can be considered evidence, that younger girls were involved.
- The New York Post and Dailymail reported in 2019 on a claim by Virginia Giuffre that he had three twelve year old girls flown into the US from France, sent as a "birthday gift" from Jean-Luc Brunel.[30][31]
- Nick Bryant believes that some of the trafficked girls were under the age of 10.[32][33]
- The lawsuit of the U.S. Virgin Islands against the estate of Jeffrey Epstein states that:[34]
"(45) The Epstein Enterprise facilitated and participated in the sexual molestation and exploitation of numerous girls between the age of 12 and 17 years old", "(205) The Epstein Enterprise engaged in two or more occasions of conduct that constitutes criminal predicate acts as defined by CICO, including, but not limited to, using or facilitating the use of force or coercion to accomplish sexual contact or engaging in sexual contact with a minor between 13 and 16 years of age", "(48) As recent as 2018, air traffic controllers and other airport personnel reported seeing Epstein leave his plane with young girls some of whom appeared to be between the age of 11 and 18 years".
- With the release of the Epstein files [35] in the wake of the Epstein Files Transparency Act,[36] images of J. Epstein with much younger children have been discovered.[37][38][39][40][41]
- Epstein apparently having a photo of a passed out girl (probably not older than 15) on his business desk during an interview with Steve Bannon;[42][43] a screenshot from his Desktop, having a Skype conversation with a woman and an apparently young girl, shows his gmail mailbox opened in the background as tab and 4chan's "Adult GIF" as bookmark visible;[44]
Misdirection
Russia started to get being blamed - Epstein, somewhat out of the blue, getting labeled a "Russian asset".[45]

- ↑ "Multiple rooms in both of Epstein’s houses featured framed photos and art of what look to be young girls. Other photos presumably show known victims, because their faces are all blacked out. In addition, Epstein kept scrapbooks with photos of victims along with collages and other art. These images are viscerally disgusting—the clearest reminder of just how many women Epstein victimized, and how unrepentant Epstein seemed to be about his crimes. It’s hard to imagine that any of the powerful people who entered his homes didn’t look at those photos and have a hint that something odd was going on." https://www.vanityfair.com/news/story/epstein-files-photos-11-disgusting-things-document-drop
